Some people say that Christmas is not a Christian holiday, nor is it even a religious holiday. Instead, they believe that Christmas has roots in Pagan celebrations. The earliest records of celebration are the mistletoe and holly tradition from paganism; then there was the Yule log tradition and the ritual of making presents. There are also some other commonly discussed traditions like boiling water on a fire and feasting with friends and family. Then there are modern traditions like Santa Claus bringing gifts to children.

I've never once seen a single source that shows Christmas and the Christian religion as being completely unrelated. At the same time, I have never found sources showing that Christmas is a religious holiday either. Christian holidays are discussed only by Christians and Christians who are trying to convince non-Christians how good Christianity is for them.

With this in mind, I wanted to get rid of some of the myths about Christmas belief and tell you why it's not really a myth after all.
